I am curious if anyone has incorporated chalkboard spray in any fashion for a case mod.

I am well aware it would suck with the dust, but for a kids case it might be fun.

My girlfriend just bought a can of black chalkboard paint so she could paint the new flowerpot she just got for her plant Herbie. She thought it would be fun to write little messages on the flower pot.

I really can't recommend using it anywhere near a computer. I used to work for a K12 school district and we had to make sure that the computers weren't next to a chalkboard as they would suck in all of the chalk dust when it was erased.
 
why dont you pain it to look like a whiteboard? that way you wouldnt have to worry about dust and everything.

lol @ fridge.. dude chauk is soo last century though.. i would advise against using it for a case mod, unless your going for that 'teacher/student/hello im in school' look

I was never a large fan of whiteboards. They smelled funny, no matter where you are the pens were ALWAYS running out of ink, and they just were not satisfying. Perhaps I am old school that way, but chalk was a much more enjoyable experience. Nothing beats the sound of chalk going 'clink' into that tray after you beat another student in a problem solving race. Long division too. In ten feet of snow. Uphill. Both ways.

Don't forget to mention the wolf pack that was chasing you through those snow banks!! ;)

As far as the dust goes, I know that occasionally they'd take a wetted sponge to the blackboards in my schools, to give them a good deep cleaning. No reason why you couldn't do something similar to that, to keep the dust problem to a minimum. :)
