Center Speaker not working?

i recieved my logitec x-530 today. plugged everything in. plug all wires into my POS cmedia 8738 (i found this laying around while dumpster diving :p ). fired it up ,sounded great. then i relized the center speaker isnt working! there seems to be very low distorted bass (maybe because its the same plug as the subwoofer plug? remember this is 5.1) coming out. remove the plug where the center speaker wire goes in and replced it with the left speaker. samething. but when i tried plugging the center into the right speaker plug it worked as a right speaker but it just wont work as a center. the speaker works it self though. i remove the center speaker wire tha goes into the subwoofer so it couldnt be damaged. i tried plugging everything into my POS onboard sound but only the front left and right speakers (not including the sub) worked. could it be my POS dumpster cmedia card? i also tried reinstalling drivers. samething, tried using different CDs, songs, dvds. samething. wtf is going on? im recieving my creative soundblaster audigy on friday btw.
 
Does the sub have a switch on the back for 2.1, 4.1, and 5.1? If so, set it to whatever your sound card supports.
 
no. the x-530 sub only has a gameport from the right front speaker (which has plugs connecting to the soundcard, orange, black, and green), a plug for the center speaker, left speaker, rear left, rear right. i have removed the plug for the center speaker to prevent from any damages. well ill guess we'll see whats really wrong when i get my audigy 2 tomorrow (today actually).
 
That is great to know because i'm getting those speakers and soundcard for my b-day!
