Cely 2.6 Overclock

A Northwood-core Celeron 2.6GHz probably overclocks around 3-3.2GHz with stock cooling. YMMV of course.

NW core P4s are cheap now. You can get a P4 2.4GHz w/HT for $80 shipped here, and probably cheaper used. Overclock that and it's much faster than an overclocked Celeron.

Even at 3.2+ghz, a P4 2.4A/B should easily outperform the Celeron. If it was a Celeron D, it'd be a different story, but those Northwood Celerons were really extradonarily terrible.

Bought a cely D 3.06 so we will see how well this will OC.

Thanks, Mark

Odds are you got an E0, the only stepping that was D0 was SL7DN. E0's are good overclockers.
