I definitely plan on overclocking the Celly to around 2.2, maybe 2.4 if I turn the HSF to the max.
If I got the X7350 I would keep it stock but would set my Monitor's refresh rate to 75hz.


Which would be best for gaming, and long sessions of MS-Paint? :confused:


I'm talking Mine Sweeper at 1080P 19X12 resolution, with Fraps running 24/7.

No, seriously. You're fucking kidding us, right? A 1.8 GHz single core processor with 512KB of L2 cache...

Versus a Core 2 Quad Xeon running at 2.93 GHz with 8MB of L2 cache.

/me checks the date... May 27th, 2008... my 41st birthday is May 30th, this Friday... and April Fool's was 56 days ago...

I just want to know what will help me more with MineSweeper and Solitaire... 3 card solitaire, none of this 1 card pansy playing!

And will the X7350 speed up my Netscape browsing? It is sooooo slow compared to my friend's machine.

those 430s are known OC like lil champs. Give er' 4 volts, you should get 7ghz on air. Watercooling is another story. Check youtube for modders welding two 430s together for multi-core action. You won't OC as high but you'll get more webpages open at any given time. GL my man!

Arc or Tig weld? Maybe some duct tape... The sky is the limit at this point. :D
 
I think you should just downclock your celly for playing solitare, even in its 3 card manly form.
That way your electic company won't even know you are on your PC 24/7 when looking at your meter.

Superglue undoubtedly. It actually enhances the flow of electrons through the chip and reduces the chances of cache thrashing, as well as branch mispredictions, thereby producing greater performance in Solitaire. In some scattered cases, users of such a setup have laid claim to being able to run two instances of the game at once with surprisingly good performance. Just don't blame me if you're not one of these lucky few. Protip: Don't forget to pour a nice, thick coat of grease on the whole thing when you're done (preferably when the system is in the 'Off' state, although this isn't entirely necessary); you'll need insulation from the utter POWER of this setup. And for God's sake, do get the case sticker to let people know you roll with the real bling, not some knock-off wannabe-never-will-be "Xeon Quad Core." Pffft.

And you're right about the sticker. If I put in the time, money, and effort to get this thing up and running, I need to make people know how awesome it is.
