celeron 430 thread again...

i dont know where my thread went. But like i said before.

Celeron 430 stock is 1.8GHz. This is with a Rampage Formula (dont ask why). At with FSB at 295MHz (2.66GHz cpu speed) and vcore of 1.168v, everything is fine. 299 boots and windows works for a while but it errors in benchmarks and eventually reboots. I've taken the vcore all the up to 1.35, but that seems to be a big jump for just a few FSB MHz. And i have the NB voltage at 1.55 to stop from getting constant "DET DRAM" errors on boot.

I also want to add that i am running 6GB of dominator 1066 DDR2, and i reached the same memory speeds with 2 or 4 dimms so i'm not sure if thats really making a difference because i'm not at my max memory speed yet.

You guys think the cpu is maxxing out? Or do some of the board's other voltages need to be played with?

When I was running an e2140, I could get 2.66 on stock easily, but to get 3ghz I had to add a bunch of voltage.

do you remember approximately how much of a jump it was? Because mine still boots, it just eventually shows instability.

1.35v isn't all that much..I can't speak for the celeron, but i had my 2140 at 1.45v to maintain 3.2ghz

it was pretty significant. I had to go to an aftermarket cooler to reach 3ghz.
