I was dismembering a NEC cdr-4300A cdrom drive (it's a circa 1996 drive that's only good because it can change between 4 cds in the size of a normal cdrom drive), and I decided that I could quite easily turn it into a simple cd changer for storage purposes. It has one motor to control whether the cd goes in or out, and another to control the up and down motion of the holder itself (the rack that holds 4 cds moves up and down, not the two arms which put in or remove the cd). I've got it all working, but it will only work with one cd, because the arms are still holding onto the cd when it is in there. They can be moved off of the cd by pulling on them, but I'm sure there is an electronic way to do this. WHere is the motor that controls this located?
