CD drive bezels?

whats the deal with bezels like this: http://www.svc.com/coalfrbeforc.html

A few came with my case...they look like they should go in front of the Bezel already on a CD-RW...are you supposed to take the bezel on the drive off and replace it with this?

Yes, I little pressure from the side and the existing bezel pops right off.

However, if you apply to much pressure you might break off one the tabs. :cool:
 
There are bezels that will just go over the previous bezel of some drives as well. I think Lian Li makes a few.
 
Is it weird that mine won't work? I have a lite-on CD-RW, black.. When I popped off the front bezel, the black part of the cd tray keeps it from coming all the way off.
 
Eject the drive when it's still hooked up. The little plastic piece should slip right off. Then cut off your computer and take the bezel off normally.

I had a pair of those on my drives with my old case. They attach to the existing bezel with double sided sticky pads (sounds ghetto i know). They look pretty good though.
