Why is it that after I burn a CD, windows will not autoplay/recognize the CD until I reboot?

WinXP, Yamaha 24x10x40 burner. Cdrwin.

Is there someway to refresh?

Thanks

There's a known issue with XP refreshing the CD-ROM drive. It was supposedly fixed in SP1, but people still have varying experiences.

Goto 'My Computer', right click on your CD-RW drive, and click 'eject' (rather than hitting the button on the drive itself). This seems to force XP into doing an auto-refresh. That might work for you...if not, maybe somebody else has another idea.
