Is it possible to get CC to use .NET Framework 3.0 instead of 2.0? I just installed 3.0 and cannot uninstall 2.0 so need to find a way around. I hear it speeds up CCC loading times :D

format and fresh install of os,update with netframes 3.0 and test for ccc function
let me know if ccc works with v 3 only installed please
thank you

Try using the .NET Framework Configuration in Control Panel->Adminisrative Tools. I don't have any .NET apps installed atm and only running v2.0 anyway so can't test, but you may be able to configure CCC to use v3.0 assemblies from there.

Same here. No idea why it's not there - I'd take a look in the GAC (C:\Windows\Assembly) and make sure you have all the System* assemblies (should be 26 for v2.0).

There are some other 2.0 assemblies, which may have been installed with Visual Studio and therefore not present. I know which ones are only required for development or running asp.net apps, but these others I'm not 100% sure about:

accessibility
custommarshalers
mscorlib
sysglobl
isymwrapper

Everything seems there and I think I found out why the configuration thing isn't there as it's only for 1.1 (never bothered installing went straight to 2.0)

Hopefully you'll be looking at times closer to these if you can get it all worked out.

No, it should be there. I don't have 1.1 either, since I no longer have any need for it. Do you actually have any v3.0 assemblies in the GAC? I think your installation may be borked.

Redirects to an anti-leech script. Got a link for the containing page?

I'll be reformatting for the move to Vista next week, so I'll be sure to grab 3.0 and give this a try, though I imagine someone else will get to it before I do.

oops, sorry. A little bit of a harsh anti-leech message isn't it! I thought I had posted the entire article....anyway, here is the link.

Well, I can tell you that in a 64bit enviroment the CCC works quite well with Net 3.0 and seems to load rather quickly.
