I was wondering if anyone else bought this program or using the free version? The author went missing about 3 months ago with no support. The forums are now being used to spam ads, loans and shoes post. Nothing indicates what happened to the author. Not sure if he was just overwhelmed by the bugs and issues in the benchmark. He couldn't figure out how to fix the problems in the benchmark or something happened in his life. He seems to have just left with no warning.

People that paid for it are all sitting there scratching their heads and wondering what happened. Just wanted to see if someone else knew what was going. I'm not sure if most people use this or anything. Just seems real odd to drop it and disappear.

Yes people do purchase synthetic benchmarks for testing hardware. As most in here use it for check stability in overclocking for HWBOT (scores and contest), and just loop running it for a period of time. Synthetic benchmarks aren't for everyone. That is why I asked for the people using it if they knew anything about what was going on. As of now we are out or money as well as a no support or information.

People paid for that? Ha!

You aren't out your money, you got what you paid for. Their forums are definitely dead and not being maintained, and there is zero sign the application is going to be supported in the future.

It isn't honestly about the money now. I'm wanting to know what happened and why he abandoned the software with zero warning.

About the money, I didn't get what I paid for as it isn't finished and buggy. So a stable final version was never released. If it was alpha or Beta then I could understand. I guess you actually have to buy the software and use it to fully understand though.

There is a free version of this. But you only get to keep one score and nothing is really saved. When you pay for the application you get a great deal more and unlocked resolutions.

Huh, I thought it was free.

I suspect a few people keep buying the app. So whoever is in charge doesn't want to put up a banner announcing the app is dead.

I went ahead and posted in the Steam forum. Hopefully it will help other people in there before they buy it. I know [H] gets a ton of traffic and thought it would help some here with the information. I'm not sure if Steam will remove it or not. But hopefully it does before others spend money on it.

please stop doing your quotes backwards, it's annoying.

I tried it, but gave up on it when they wanted money to run the benchmarks at anything higher than 1280x720. It was a waste running it at that res on my 970!

That seems to be the normal now. To get to use it fully, you have to pay a price. In the end it seems everyone paid the price, literally.

People like different stuff. That is what makes the world go around. Just because some people use the same software for testing doesn't mean everyone has to follow that. I liked it because it was different. Thinking outside the box is a good thing for people. With the exception of them abandoning the product.

Who would pay for that? No one uses it as a reference for performance on any of the hardware tech sites I visit. It's Firestrike, Valley and Heaven or bust.
