I've never used any form of case lighting before, other than led fans. But im curious as to having a single 12in cathode can cause temperatures to rise in the case ? Are there any drawbacks to using them ?
 
Cold Cathode lights wont touch your temps in a case, the only potential drawback I've read about is the possibility, (its never happened to me mind you,) of the inverter burning out and catching fire. Run a search on the forums I've seen some of the pics here.
