Do you really need to remove the registry or whatever when uninstalling the ATI drivers. I say this because every guide say you should but its a pain and kind of hard to do. If I don't will it make a difference or affect gaming performance in any way?
 
Probably won't have much of an effect, Driver Cleaner is usually more than sufficient.
 
I used regsupreme 1.2 to remove old registries. Is this a good utility and do you think it removed all the old ATi stuff for a complete driver uninstall?
 
Registry cleaners can be very helpful, but most of the good ones cost money. I personally use RegCleaner which is made by the same guy (jv) that makes RegSupreme. It's not perfect but it does get rid of the more obvious registry trash. But there are many things it misses that a better cleaner would hit, although in consideration of ATI drivers it would be sufficient when combined with Driver Cleaner.
