Catalyst 11.6 upgrade issues

Is anybody else having issues trying to install Catalyst 11.6 on 64 bit Win 7 Ultimate? Each of the three times I tried to upgrade from 11.5 to 11.6 the process corrupted itself and I had to do a system restore. I have never previously had a problem with upgrade to a new driver version while the previous iteration of Catalyst was still installed, so this is new for me.
 
If you are having trouble with installing over the previous version, try uninstalling 11.5, booting into safe mode and running driversweeper and then reinstalling 11.6. Could be you actually are having trouble due to something being corrupted or misplaces in 11.5 thats causing 11.6 install to fail.
 
I already understood how to do that. My query was more towards whether I simply have corrupted or if there is an issue with the newest release itself like the crossfire bug that persisted from 10.4 to 11.3.
