I currently have a 5870 and during video play it eventually causes a BSOD. Is there any settings in the video tab in Catalyst Control Center I can turn off to prevent these crashes? I just disable all the video stuff in ccc for now.

If it's happening on Flash videos, right click on the video and disable Hardware Acceleration. It isn't even helpful on gaming systems since the CPU can handle the video without breaking a sweat.

I've had flash videos cause a blank screen, then it comes back on saying it recovered from a video driver failure. That's been going on for awhile not just 11.5. I haven't had any bsod from 11.5 or any Cat driver yet.

It was a .mkv file, running in VLC. I did have that flash problem before and I fixed it with the fix stated above.
