where would be the best place to put a temperature sensor to get the best reading for the over all temperatutre inside of the computer?

I dont know maybe hang it somehow in the middle, or tape it to the wall in front by the case door where the drives mount?

yeah i was gonna try to put it somewhere in the middle, but i diddnt know if someone knew of a spot that usually is a good place to put one to get a good reading.

Yeah I'm curious too since I dont have a good board, and my next build could use this advice :)

put them as close to the top as possible, cause heat rises so those should be the hottest parts of your case depending on how your airflow is.

Technically, it really doesn't matter as temp probes are somewhat inaccurate, meaning, they don't recognize small changes so the difference between putting it at the top or the bottom shouldn't make that much of a difference.

My 2 temp probes in my p160 sit at the top of case all curled up and unused. The temps are displayed but I don't really pay much attention to them. They are usually around 30ºC and if the AC is on drop to around 27ºC.

So my best advice, put them somewhere that makes your wire management look the nicest =)

thanks for the advice g33zy

i know how those probes are usually inaccurate, but my case has a temp display built into it so i figured i would use it somehow, and since i can read all of my other temps with programs i figured i would just use this for an overall case temp.

also i cant really put one at the top cause i have a fan in the top of my case

but ill find some use for it i guess :)
