Case Locks

good looking case, btw.

as far as case locks are concerned: what type of traffic area is this comp. located in? frankly, on this particular case, i could prolly just rip it apart without a thought for the sheet metal, etc.

cheers,

dave

You really won't be able to lock the case with any real amount of security, if someone wants whats in it bad enough - they will get it, one way or another

That said, I would just use the maximum amount of screws possible, put it in a location so the back or sides of the computer would be hard to get to without a little effort

Sometimes its the small delays that will make the difference to a robber on whether its worth the time and effort to get what they are looking for

nobodys going to steal your shit. i left my dorm room open with my computer all the time and no one touched it, even though i bragged about how i had the fastest computer on the floor (and i did too). and if they really wanted it they could just punch through your plexi and rip out the processor. but then again, if they want something bad enough to take it, theyre going to be careful, that involves screwdrivers and time.

They'll steal the whole damn thing before they go and take the time to unscrew 2 screws, pop the cover off, carefully remove the heatsink, lift the ZIFF bar, remove the CPU, place it in an anti-static bag, put the cover back on, and replace the 2 screws.

Take your case, and seal it up well.
Make sure your motherboard is protected from moisture and
still has airflow. Same for drives.

Load the bottom with concrete.
When you're done, weld the sides shut.

If anybody really wants your computer, they may still take it, but one attempt
to open it and/or lift it will make them rethink what that want in life.

locks are worthless.. If someone is dishonest and wants the contents the lock will only slow the down by seconds. Just think of a thief as an opportunity to upgrade. BTW, get renters insurance.
