Case Fans setup

Well, I'm not new to the computer world, just never been registered on here before. But I have always wondered,

How do you determine how to setup your fans in your case?
LIke, how do you know which ones to use for intakes/exhausts?

My current case has (2) 80mm fans and a single 120mm on the rear, but has 2 spots on the front where I could hook up two more 80mm fans. I'm just wondering if there is a better way I could setup my case to have a more efficient cooling setup.

Thanks.

Just make sure you have a balance between intake and exhaust. I like to have a bit more exhaust than intake; creates a bit of negative pressure in the case. But there are all kinds of theories and methods. Just try them out and see what works for you.

It's also a good idea to sketch out the case, where the main heat generators are (CPU, GPU, HDD) and determine where the hot air is and where the cool air is. Then draw arrows to indicate where you want the air to go and configure your fans accordingly.

Like how I did here. Now I can determine where fans need to be and in what direction. And internal view would probably be better:
