Hi,
I have recently installed an IS7 motherboard in my OEM (compaq) ATX case. This case is definately awesome, and I would love to keep it. The only problem is, there is not a slot for the end of an AGP video card to stick out in the back, only 4 PCI. Is there ANY way to install an AGP without having to buy a new case. I'm open to any innovative idea. Thanks.

Thats what they make dremels and saws for. You could probably make your own slot on the case for the agp card as long as you have room for it. Or you could go the easy route and just buy a new case.

i had a similar problem a few years back when i bought from gateway ... at the time i didn't have the cash to dump on a nice system and i bought an economy sized business computer.

i think it had 4 pci slots ... no room to upgrade

i ended up calling gateway tech support and they gave me a hassle about adding 3rd party hardware, all i had asked was if it was possible to upgrade my motherboard (the newb i was)

they also informed me that touching my computer in anyway voids the warrenty

actually, my problem was with the motherboard and not the case ...

anyhow

if you can get your hands on a dremel or such cutting tool (and don't mind cutting the back of your case ... i'd say go for it.

if you haven't don't much cutting ... i'd try practicing first, make sure your measurements are right before jumping in to this ... the last thing you want to do is cut your case in the wrong spot and make a larger hole than you want to.

its too bad the search doesnt work ... i'm sure there are people who have done this before on the forum.
