Have any waterblocks come out recently that have dethroned the king of waterblocks, the Little River Cascade? If so what is it? If not, is there any reason someone would recomend AGAINST a cascade? and if so what would you recomend?

Thxs :)

I don't think so, there probably would have been lots of talk about it if there was some great new waterblock.

I love my cascade I put mine in when I installed my dd gpu block
I had a maze3 my temps went down 1 deg and that was with the tubing messed up I had the inlet and outlet switched
it went down 3 more degs when I made it right

The only thing I would say that stopped me from getting the Cascade, is final price once deliverd. I found it would cost me about US$100 delivered to my door with insurance, from Australia.

I got the Danger Den RBX for just a bit over half that, and it will perform FINE.

My buddy is running a Koolance EXOS on the same rig as me (I built it for him) and he is getting Awesome temps. I'm sure an RBX, Maze 4, or WW will be sufficient, the only reason to get the Cascade is if you are willing to pay the premium for bragging rights. 1 or 3 degrees cooler isn't worth $45 to me, once my load temps are already in the mid-40's.

Its not my money, its the money i've made from selling my AMD stock, I bought it when it was down near $3 a share, so now I have about enough to buy any wc setup I want, not enough for prometia though thats just ridiculously expensive
