card ruined?

No that is why I'm confused.

It plays games completely fine, and it benchmarks fine.

I don't see any artifacts at all in any games and I'm using omega 2.5.90 drivers.
I reinstalled ati tool and it still ends up like that screenshot in under 6 seconds.
 
ATI 9600 Pro @ 438/660

thats some crazy mem speeds for a 9600pro. unless the stock is at 600 like my xt
 
Clocks look fine to me. My friend has a 9600 and it runs at 400/600 stock, so the clocks look good. The artifact issue could be an issue between the drivers and the ATItool, but if it doesn't affect games at all, then I'd live with it the way it is.
 
It looks like you've got a corruption problem with ATI tool. Try reinstalling it?
 
if u want to be sure its ur card. swap it onto another comp. if u can't do that. reinstall the card(make sure u do it correctly). if that still don't work. try a format. if that doesn't work. try to find another comp and try it on that comp. then u will kno for sure if its ur comp. but to me it sounds like ur card might be dieing imo.
 
well, I reinstalled ati tool like I said in my previous post.

It was still artifacting... I leave for a few hours to go session with a friend and then I come back and I try ATi tool again and this time it seemed fixed?!

Sometime computers are very random...

Try installing to a new location? Often times, when games refuse to work for me, I install them on a different drive and they either work or still bork themselves. It's worth a shot
