Capturing xbox to computer fuzzy?

I'm using the ati capture box that comes with AIW and I have my xbox plugged in so I can play on my computer monitor. The picture is decent but it's fuzzy on the monitor compared to a television screen where its clear. I've noticed the same thing with the tv tuner. Does it have something to do with the .9 compared to 1 pixel size thing? And does anyone have a suggestion to improve it?
 
for me with my PS2 and GC going to S-Video made a HUGE improvement over RCA video. Before it was fuzzy and after it was as clear if not moreso than my TV.

Get one of these http://www.x2vga.com/ or these http://www.vdigi.com/ not only will it reduce the fuzziness by not going through the ATI card, but you will get a 480p signal and you can play Xbox without your TV being on.
 
I'm not looking specificly to be able to play xbox on the monitor, more specificly to capture things such as xbox or vcr tapes to the computer as MPEGS
 
svideo cabling is pretty much necesarry to get a quasi-acceptable picture. Pretty much forget any of the PVR cards as they introduce too much lag to be playable (unless you are splitting the video somewhere).

I use dscaler to clean up the video a little as well, i dont know if its compatible with your cards.

Oh sorry. The AIW will look OK at best even on Svideo. I used to capture Halo stuff without any lag and the quality was decent, but not as good as I had hoped. Part of the problem is the AIW, I didn't realize how poor the TV capture quality was till I got a Hauppauge MCE250 capture card and my picture quality improved quite a bit.
