Recently my computer crashes at random times. It freezes during DOS, loading of Win XP, and BSOD while running XP. BSODs are always random and no specific file is mention.

It seems to be extremely stable at 256 ram (only reading one stick. look at specs in sig). Whenever both sticks of ram is read correctly, the computer goes haywire. It freezes during memtest, which is quite strange.

Is one of the slots on my mobo bad, or is one of my ram damaged? I've tried all slots and seem to recieve the same errors.
 
If memtest is freaking on you I'd think your RAM is fubar. If you think it might be one of the slots try switching them arround to try and identify the bad slot. If the slots turn out to be okay try testing the RAM individually, either in your comp or a different one. Thats all I got for suggestions, hope that helps.
 
It seems to me that only one slot works out of the four. Both ram seems fine when i test one at a time. What a crappy mobo.
 
For some reason, anytime the computer reads 512 ram, old, new, used, etc. it crashes/freezes

is my mobo all messed up?
