My friend's main drive was not working, he wanted to transfer files to my 200gb hd and reformat. It is a slave to my primary drive, windows detects the drive but does not assign it a drive letter.

what r u running and what is he running? if you are runing the same stuff then just go on the back of the hard drive and there are little pins next to the power plug in. take the little pin out and put it in the slot all the way to the left ill get you a picture in a little bit
