Canon S80

Despite the high price tag, I do think the S80 is a decent camera. A nice wide but slow lens, solid build, good controls, and very good image quality at low ISO's. But as with most Canons, don't use the AiAF and you'll be fine. And it doesn't hurt to post-process your pics.

I had an S30 many years ago and I thought it was a good camera. It was particularly bad at macro shots and ISO400+ were pretty noisy. Those were the only two trouble spots of the camera. Be sure to see if they have cleared those problems up on the newer version of the camera.
 
I got it, It's cool. fast warm up time. Had an S50 b 4 until it went tits up on me. Didn't like that fucking flimsy door thing but oh well. I guess I"m a sucker for t3h canon name.
