Wow ! What a monster ! My macro twin flash arrived today. I got it mounted on the camera but I need to read the manual before I play with it (that's a first :D ). Pics below. :)

Mounted on a Digital Rebel XT with a Canon 100mm macro lens. Pics taken with a Canon S45 in auto mode. Pics resized 50% in Paint Shop Pro 7.

WTH? That thing drawfs the Rebel XT significantly :p !

I am looking forward to some pics bro! Enjoy your new toy... :)

I'll have to find some bugs to shoot. Unfortunately I am trying to paint my truck. It's a ton of work when you strip a vehicle to bare metal. ;)

soooo..when did you say you would ship it to me :D

it would be nice if the camera was included :D

lol

So where are the macros? I wanna see some close up pics dude. :D

Too busy messing with my truck. Too late to go find anything outside to shoot. I'll shoot a 1922 Peace Dollar and post it shortly. :D

*Edit* Cropped and Reduced 50% in Paint Shop Pro 7. No other editing done. I need to get my truck done so I can shoot some decent pics. :) I got this old coin about 12 years ago from someone that was going to use it to buy a pack of smokes. It might be woth $5 now but it's in bad condition.

Nice! It's hot as hell around here, but that's prime time for finding interesting bugs. It may sound stupid, but the strategy that I've found to be more or less successful is to find a small area, say, three or four square feet of grass or the equivalent surface area of a tree, and stare at it for 15 seconds or so, staying very still. If nothing moves, take a few paces and repeat. If you see a blade of grass rustle or a leaf twitch, home in on what caused it. There's a lot of neat stuff that you'll just walk past if you're not patient.
