I just got a canon MP130 multifunction printer. It has slots for a CF card and other memory cards. When the printer is connected, the memory cards removable drive is detected by Windows and displayed under My Computer, even if no card is present in the slot. Everytime I try to browse anything listing the entire file tree (ie My Computer or drop-down address bar), the computer hangs and does not respond for several minutes. If I use the Safely Remove Hardware to remove the Canon drive, everything returns to normal. I am just using the drivers supplied on the cd with the printer because the US canon website just opens a blank window when I try to download any MP130 drivers from there. Removing the drive works fine, but it shows up everytime I restart, so I would like a better solution that allows me to use the CF slot and have Windows act normally when displaying the file tree. Any ideas?
