I was taking a few pictures of my truck today when I noticed my camera was putting weird colored lines on the pictures. It use to work great. (If i can find a host) I will put up some high res pictures that I took a few days ago. But for now here is a small picture that shows what is going on with the camera.

Any ideas?
Thanks,

I don't know much about the A70, but that's some pretty terrible banding. Nothing obvious comes up on Google. Can you post a cropped (but not resized!) sample, particularly like the lower left corner?

As soon as I get home I will post cropped image.

Thanks,
William

How old is the camera? The sensor may be dying prematurely.

I had the same thing happen to my A60, but I never found an answer and Canon never replied to my tech support request.

It's a rather popular problem with the Powershot A series. You're going to need to call them and send it in for repair.

looks like you're going to need a new camera :(
