I just installed a secondary harddrive into my brothers computer, and I set it up, had it working with the harddrive just sitting outside *not installed, had to format* and it was visible in "My Computer" After I formatted it, I could still see it, but I turned the computer off to install it into the computer. Upon restart, its gone. It is visible in the BIOS, and even in the device manager, but I just can't see it in "My Computer"

Any suggestions?

Did you assign it a driver letter through computer management or disk management?

Start > Run > (type) diskmgmt.msc > intitialize drive
if the wizard doesnt pop up, RClick it

(dont "upgrade" it to a dynamic disk, thats the last thing you want)

Ahh, and it works. An extra 6 gigs seems to make him happy...

Thanks, I'm kind of disappointed in myself...lol.
