Can a CPU be too cold?

I've never thought about this before mainly because it was never an issue, but can a CPU be too cold? I know people do the extreme cooling for benchmarks and such, but that's while stressing the CPU a great deal, I'm wondering more about everyday use, close to stock speeds.

I currently have the rig in my sig hooked up to a 4" vent pulling the cold winter air in from outside. The air immediately gets pulled through my Corsair H60 and then into the rest of the case.

Depending greatly on the temperature outside, I've seen my CPU dip to 7 degrees, but usually hovers around 12 or 13 lately. Right now, I'm running Prime95 and it's at 28... My Motherboard seems to be getting some benefit as well, as it's usually only a few degrees warmer than the CPU. The graphics card sees little benefit, though I'm sure I could mess with the fan layout some and get it cooler.

I did not do this because of PC overheating, or any other performance reasons, I did this to cool my office down a bit. It works very well, but some stuttering while playing Starcraft 2 earlier has me concerned about the long-term effects...

Ideas?

No, unless it's so cold that the silicon becomes brittle and cracks due to contraction. At that point, you have bigger problems.

They can, but it requires LN2 or some other kind of exotic cooling to be a factor.

Had this posted already in the "Ghetto-Mod" thread of the case-mod section already... It isn't pretty, but it sits under my desk

the biggest thing I'd be worried about it condensation building up. However, if it hasn't been a problem yet, you're probably fine. The air is usually pretty dry in the winter anyway.

air inside and out is dry... even on rainy days, I've noticed no big spike in humidity in my case.
