Any calibration programs out there available for displays? I'm having a hard time dialing in my new Asus 23 inch by eye.

Well yes, but only if you use hardware with it. Anything else relies on your eye. So Windows have a calibration program built in that'll show test patterns and so on, but all you do with that is look at them and adjust. So it still comes down to your eyes.

If you want auto adjustment, then you have to buy hardware. The software talks to the hardware to take measurements and then does corrections. Pricey though.

Adjusting via my eyes is fine.... just need the patterns, black vs. white etc. Where in windows can I find this?

Go to your display properties and then pick "calibrate color". That is how you activate Windows' own system for it.

Wow, this has been very helpful. Working on the calibration has made a huge improvement over how this LCD looked out of the box.
