My new parts are arriving and I wanted some pointers on cable management. I tried to do it on my current rig but after seeing some nice pictures around here, I wanted to know how you do it.

Do you plug everything, then make a way to wrap it all on a clean way? Do you wrap it then connect? Or something? Tell us how you do it!

Also, tips for desk cable management are always nice. I use those big clamps that comes with a keyring (or whatever it's called) attached to my desk. Actually I attached them to the wall because the desk is new and I couldn't manage to make a hole on it... It does its job fine, but doesn't take care of the smaller wires.

Thank you all!

Don't just jump in, try to imagine where all your cables can be neatly tucked away. After you've figured out what works best, route the cable the way you want then plug it in. Zip ties, use a lot of them. When you're done, look at what you can improve and make small changes until you have something that woks.
