I have an OCZ GameXStream 700w and I noticed today when looking at some motherboard reviews for my new system that the 8 pin cables won’t be long enough to route so they the wiring is nice and clean. In any normal case they would be fine, but I got a P180 and having the 8 pin connections and the PSU on the opposite sides of the case is not something I thought about when deciding which case to buy.
So I’m just wondering if there is any way to extend the length of the cables without voiding the warranty.
Edit: I found this Link which I think would work. My 8 pin is actually two separate 4 pin cables. So I would just buy two. Is there any down side to going with a solution such as this?
