Bypass onswitch?

Is there a way to bypass the "on switch" to a power supply? I was hoping to get a stand alone power supply that I could just run some 12v fans off of... All the ones I have laying around don't have the on switch connected directly to them, they are the kind that connect directly to the mobo...

Thanks for any help

You might want to try MANY Google results telebofh. I remember doing this years ago, and there were some warnings about ensuring the internal capacitor was discharged even if unplugged and not running the PS very long if it didn't have a load.

If I remember correctly this can be life-threatening to you and your power supply, this is not a joke! I'd research it further for ya but don't have the time right now. I just couldn't leave this thread without warning you with a clear conscience.

Thanks very much, it worked perfectly, looked all over google but couldnt find anything, must have been bad search entries :)
