Buying a Microphone Input NEED HELP!

Okay. So i do a bit of video production for work but it usually does not involve me recording voices. Now I have to make a bunch of in house interviews and company summaries with voice narration. The mic that i use (really cheap) sounds like a freaking radio show from the 70s.

I am now looking at microphones with a $100 dollar range. What would be good mic? like I can place on a desk AND walking around with it?

And how does these mics work? do i record directly to my computer? or can i add it to my iPhone and record it through the mic to the iPhone? please help me out! thanks.

ok, when you "walk" around with the mic, what will the mic be plugged in to?

May want to consider the Marshall MXL AC-404 ($65 at most places). Other microphones built for conference setups are generally high quality, but they can get quite expensive...
