I'm getting ready to buy a Scythe Ninja Mini for my HTPC and was thinking about picking up a new heatsink for my main box. I've been looking at the Scythe Ninja Copper or the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme. This will be going on a NF680i in a Lian-Li V2100 Plus. I've been leaning towards the Scythe but the thing ways a ton.

don't get the ninja copper, waaay too heavy and expensive for the cooling.

I have the regular ninja and I love it, I told my friend to get an AC7 and that is equally awesome, dare I say just as good as my ninja (the + of the ninja is that it can be used fanless)

If your case doesn't have enough allowance, the TRUE will not fit, as what has happened to some other people that end up selling theirs on ebay. But it is one of the best cpu coolers, actually would be your best, but budget wise, go for a xigamatek or the arctic cooling hsf. They perform very well at a fraction of the cost.

I can only think of a few other cases bigger than mine, so it should fit. I've found them for about 54 bucks with no fan. After throwing in a nice fan, it'll be back up to the price of the Ninja Copper.

Do what I will do if my I-14 wont fit, I'm going to do a little mod to make room...:D

I second the Thermal Right Ultra Extreme. They make amazing coolers. Very excellent performance for the money as well. I don't have the extreme version, but my thermal right ultra 120 does an amazing job. Check out Anandtech's comparison on cooler's: Here

So I just bought the Ninja Mini for my HTPC and the TRUE120 for my main workstation. I picked up 2 Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F's and a tube of AS5 to go along with it.

Now I just need to read up on lapping and think about giving that a try. Those 1-2 C could probably help out in the summer when it's 42C+ outside.

Just a follow up. Finally got my toys in today but screwed up and forgot the AS5 sitting on my desk at work and don't feel like driving back to get it. I had a tube here at home, but can't find it, so I have to wait to play until tomorrow.
