I'm having a problem with a burner. Everytime I try and burn a disk, I get a burn failed error. I even swapped out the CDRW with a new one (Lite-On 52x) and got the same thing. The fastest burn speed that nero will allow is 24x with a new blank.

Computer specs are as follows:

Nforce 2 IGP mobo
Athlon 2800
512 Crucial
Lite-On DVD
Lite-On CDRW (the one getting the errors)
120 Gig HDD
20 Gig HDD (from old computer)

Need more info.

Options used in Nero?
Is Seamless Link / Burnproof / Buffer Under Run protection enabled?
What are you burning?
Are you using the correct size disc for the job? Or are you trying to overburn?

Try something other than Nero and see if it works.

If you can nail down all software problems, replace your ATA cable with a new one. It may be the problem.

After that, make sure that your power supply is supplying enough voltage to the drive(s).

Good luck!
