Hey Im sorry if this topic has been made / or asked before. I did some searching and couldnt really find the help needed.

Im basicaly trying to find a strong enough computer for my recording purposes. Recording music that is. I was thinking about building a system for this matter but I have no idea on what hardware I should buy. Im guessing I will need a strong processor, alot of ram, and alot of storage space. The soundcard wouldnt be a problem hence I will be using external firewire hardware for that. Im not asking anyone to find the hardware for me or build this system for me. Although could someone shed some light or help me on this?

Honestly, I'd say get a *glances around* Mac, as they are pretty much superb for media work, especially audio... They'll set you back more, but are definately worth it, unless you want Windows or x86 compatibility.
