Hey guys, I just saw the AMD CPU/Mobo deal at Micro Center and couldn't pass up. So now I have a Phenom II X3 720BE CPU and an ASUS 785G mATX mobo.
I already have some spare parts lying around: MSI 9600GT, 4gb of DDR2, a DVD RW drive, an OCZ 700w PSU, and a 750gb WD Black HD, so all I really need to buy now is a good case, a TV tuner card, and a CPU cooler. I'm not sure what kind of case I should use, since this computer will be used for two different purposes.
1. This computer will be used mainly as an HTPC, connected to my TV in the living room. I realize that the hardware I listed are way overkill for a HTPC, but I have them already, and would prefer not to have to buy new parts unless there's a very compelling reason to.
2. This is the computer that I will bring to lan parties. So I also realize that the specs aren't good enough for a typical gaming PC (especially the GPU), but I only play SC:BW, Dota, maybe some CoD4 and later on SC2, and those'll be run on a 1280x1024 monitor anyways so this should be plenty.
So I'm kinda torn between a HTPC case like the Silverstone GD05 and a desktop cube like the Lian Li PC-V350. I'm mostly looking for portability and silence in the case. And probably cooling too since I don't imagine the X3 720 to be a cool running piece, even though I won't overclock it. But yea, any help would be appreciated.

I have another computer running on an Athlon II BE-2400 on an ECS AM2+ mobo in an Antec 300. If the BE-2400 is powerful enough to run 1080p video (is it?) then ideally I'd use it to make the HTPC, but that means I've got a less portable LAN computer because I would have to drag around the Antec 300. Also the ECS mobo isn't the greatest in the world and I didn't know if it would have trouble handling the X3 720BE.
Would prefer not to spend over $150 for the case.
