Building a new rig

im planing on building a new rig for the purpose of rendering animation....which processor would be better for the job?...AMD or Intel?...and which motherboard to go with it?

I would highly recommend going with the AMD Athlon64 chip, and a SLi motherboard, 939 socket, nForce 4 chipset.. brands I recommend, Asus, DFI, Soyo, MSI.

you wouldnt need SLI IMO, just go with Nvidia brand, and make sure you hop up that ram 2-4 gigs work with what you want to do.......hrumm, it really depends on proc, do you plan on having other programs running at same time? go with intel get a HT proc, great for multi tasking...........or if you can wait get a duel core when they hit shelfs
