That Gigabyte MB will be fine. My friend has one and it is rock solid.

The Sonata case isn't the best for cooling. In fact, it sucks. It was built to be quiet, not efficient. I own one myself and have been very dissappointed with it's cooling potential. In hindsight, I would have bought this

I really like the design and the cooling potential. 2 120mm fans going full blast will create quite a bit of air flow through the case.

I'm always wary about buying things off of ebay, especially electronics. Who are you going to RMA it to if it arrives DOA?

the only thing i am getting from ebay is my 1.44 floppy which is like 6 bux so who cares.........the cases u suggested r to expensive for me roght now......do u know of any cheaper one that are good..............i was having problems fitting the Sonata into my budget......any help my appreciated
 
i would like a case that is black in color and as efficient as possible under $90 shipped with power supply......a good power supply...like true... ...........i dont want a glass windo on the side or neons inside or any of the "BIing BIing"
 
That RAM isn't very good for what you want. Plus if memory serves correctly, Athlon64 systems are still using ECC, non-registered RAM.

Don't jip your purchase by acquiring low quality RAM, opt for the Corsair XMS PC3200DLL. Better timings lead to better performance on AMD systems.

Another motherboard to consider is the Asus K8V. I've heard it's a real good motherboard.
