Hello, I'm going to build a Micro ATX computer. I was wondering if the following parts would work together.

Case: Apex Micro ATX Mid-Tower
Motherboard: eVGA 131-K8-NF44-AX (SLi)
CPU: AMD 3000+ (Socket 939)
RAM: Viking 1GB PC 3200
Graphics Card: eVGA 7600 GTS 256MB
Hard Drive: Seagate 160 GB SATA 3 Gb/s
DVD Burner: LG 16x DVD-R/+R/+RW/-RW Burner
Monitor: SCEPTRE X7G-NagaVI 17 Inch
Keyboard/Mouse Set: Logitech LX300

I've heard that heatsink/fan combos that come with CPUs don't fit in Micro-ATX cases, is this true?
I also have a standard 450 Watt ATX Powersupply that I planned on using, will this fit?
Also, it'd be great if someone could find me a manual for that motherboard, I've looked everywhere and I'm convinced there isn't one on the whole internet.

Also, if you know any other parts that are better for around the same price, I'm open to recommendations.

that case should work fine. did you select that motherboard with the intent of going SLI at a later date? If you don't plan on doing SLI get a different motherboard. I have used the evga board, along with a Biostar TForce, MSI 6150, Asus 6150, and DFI RS482 board for socket 939. It will get the job done if you are set on it but the 6150 boards have better onboard audio.

Aside from that I don't see any problems.

The retail HSF will fit fine.

What is the exact make and model of PSU you have?
 
I've got a this Rosewill RD450 ATX 2.2 450 Watt PSU

I also looked at your other suggested motherboards... I can get my eVGA motherboard and 3000+ for $114. If I went for the DFI Motherboard, it would be $145 and I'd also not have the ability to go SLi later if I wanted to. The Biostar would cost $134. I couldn't even find the MSI one. The Asus would be 140. So, obviously, the eVGA would be cheapest.

I have an old-ish SoundblasterLive soundcard that's 5.1 surround sound capable, if the sound's really bad, I'll use that in the PCI slot.

Can you install an OEM copy of Windows XP Home or Pro on more than one computer? I have an older (2002) computer that died. (Primary IDE channel fried and I can't find a replacement for it.) So, I could use that copy of XP, I have Home on this computer, and my brother has XP Pro on his laptop. I think they're all OEM.

On a similar note, do you need a floppy drive to install that motherboard? I know you need one for RAID drivers, but not sure about just an SATA drive.

if the evga is cheapest and you want SLI go for it. There is not alot of options.

It is a competent motherboard.

So you know it will not run the RAM at 1T timings. There is a workaround, I made a thread about this awhile back when I had the board.

Onboard audio is decent, nothing spectacular but decent.

Not sure about windows.
 
Alright, I don't know that much about RAM timings. But, if I went out and bought those parts, and assembled the computer, would it work fine? Or would I need to buy different RAM that's compatible with that motherboard?

As long as the onboard sound decent I'll be happy with it.
 
the RAM should work fine. The board is no more picky than any other NF4 board.
 
That looks like a nice case, except for the fact that I can't buy the stuff today, I have to wait for the school to approve it (it's a school project). By that time it'll be $80, darn school.
