Hey guys, I'm building a computer for my brother and wanted your help with some parts. He'll be gaming and doing schoolwork on it. I'll be building my own Intel-based in a few months' time, but I'm not too familiar with current AMD-compatible mobos and RAM. Here's a list that I put together, let me know what you think.

Case
LIAN LI ARMORSUIT PC-P50R

PSU
CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12

Mobo
Asus M4A77TD AM3

CPU
AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE

RAM
A-Data 4GB

GPU
ATI 5850

HDD
Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200.12

DVD
Asus Black 24x DVD Burner

Please keep in mind that some of these items can be found cheaper elsewhere and that I won't be buying everything particularly from Newegg. I just wanted to get an idea of which parts work best together in each price range. The computer won't be overclocked. The total without tax and shipping should be around $950.

Are you near a Fry's or Microcenter? If so, they have bundle deals that beat newegg for both Intel and AMD.

After a bit more research, I'm not so sure about the board. What do you think?

Same bundle is $395 on the egg, so its a good deal at $330. Good board with SATA600 and USB3. What's wrong with it?

Apparently the fan control is whacky... I think I'll go ahead with it though. Does everything else look ok?
