Well they aren't the budget breaker items, I knew that title would get ya to look here; but who makes the best cables?
I'm looking for a little "bling". I like the color blue, and should I get 18" or longer?
I don't like the way that sounds...Oh well..

Cables for which/what?

If I remember correctly from one of Ice Czar's sticky post~ the certified inches is 18" for hard drives. But the rule is less is better. More signal / less errors.

exacto knife + electrical tape or twist ties = budget rounded cables.

I'm confused. Are we talking about IDE cables here?

:) I asked him that question about which cable he was talking about.

Hahaha, i knew someone would be all pissy about that title, but oh well :D .
Sorry I was in a hurry this morning, yes I meant IDE cables. No offense but 3-7 bucks for a cable isn't gonna break the bank, lmao; so I want to just buy them instead of cutting and wrapping some elect tape on them. I just wanted to know if there is a brand that is better than the others cause i'm gonna build my first pc soon and I have no idea, they all look the same.

Speaking from experience, I will say that if you can find cables without the bulky pieces of rubberish stuff by the plugs, they will be much easier to manage. When you have items close to each other, that sutff gets in the way and prevents you from flexing wires to fit and such.
