I agree that the res is best when adding fluids but this is not always pratical depending upon where it is mounted.......a "T" at the lowest point of the circuit at the length of say 10-12" works great plus when it comes time to drain or flush you can extended it a safe distance away from the internals components...cosmetically IDK...I usually tuck it up beside the HD cage....or you could use a quick disconnect...I run a closed case so it doesn't matter to me.
It should be noted that it is impossible to put your reservoir in the top of the loop if you have your radiator mounted to the inside/top of your case. But even so the bubbles will work themselves out.
I found that running my pump at a higher rate for a bit helped push the bubbles out, as well as create a vortex coming out of my gpu block.
