I have some Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speakers set up with my computer. I was given some medium sized floor speakers (much bigger than the two speakers attached to the Logitech sub) which I connected to the Logitech sub (I took out the two small speakers that came with it). The floor speakers sounded fine, but the sub sounded weak. I figured the floor speakers just arent made to be attached to this kind of system, and switched the originals back in.
Now my sub is permanently weak sounding. It still functions, and sounds clear enough, its just noticeably weaker.
Does anyone know if plugging in non-standard speakers could blow the sub, or short something? Is there anything I can do, and even if not, can someone explain what may have happened?
