This problem started right after i put in a blue LED fan, and 2 new silenx fans. My OS hard drive booted mext day and right before windows it said a file was corrupt and had to be repaired and windows couldn't boot. i try everything but it won't work. so my new hard drive comes and i plug it in and try to load OS on it, i load 2k just fine then upgrade to XP and it gives me a BSOD saying the hardware or something is corrupt. i try to reinstall XP, and it asks for the ViaIde.sys file. everytime i try to load anything it starts failing. any ideas guys? thanks in advance. (btw its the system in my sig)

Did you try removing the fans and then trying to boot? I would put everything back to the way it was before the problem. You also might want to check all your cables to see if maybe you knocked something loose when you were putting in the new hardware.

i've already checked all cables. but it might be interference maybe? maybe something from one of the new fans. anyone else have anu ideas?
