Ok, i'm not sure exactly what section this should go in, but here goes: I have 2 monitors, one 24 inch one 22 inch. Just recently I switched around the DVI cables on my GTX285 so that the 24 inch is plugged into the 1st port, and is the main display for the BIOS splash screen, booting, etc. It turns out that my BIOS/VESA/whatever (I don't know what controls boot resolution) cannot handle 1920x1080, so everything prior to booting into an OS is stretched and has a black border around the image (BIOS splash screen, bootloader, OS loading screen, etc). Is there any way to patch something to add this resolution? And can someone actually explain what is happening and why it looks like this? Thank you in advance!
