boolean search not working correctly?

My understanding was that I could do a boolean AND search by using the '&' operator. I tried searching for "gigabyte & copper" (without the quotes) in the motherboards forum, yet many of the results do not contain the word "copper" anywhere in the thread.

Am I doing something wrong, or does the boolean search not work correctly?
 
I'm sorry, but your not allowed to use boolean search, who ever informed you of that is incorrect.
