Black Screen, static sounds

when i play games for an hour or two my monitor goes black screen, static sounds from speaker...no way to get to windows or even try ctrl alt del wat so ever..only way was to press the reset button... i tried reinstalling all my updated hardware drivers... and even did agp4x and no FastWrite for my 9800Pro..problem still exist, i dunno what i can do...
 
It may be a setting in the game, have you tryed disabling advanced audio options? Such as EAX/DX and see if it continues? Could also be heat.
 
heat shouldnt be an issue, i have a good cooling case with cpu temp around 40C and 57C full load, plus a modded 9800Pro with Vga Silencer...
