I'm building my first SFF system and I will be running a 7800GT. Am I correct that this will only leave me with one useable PCI slot? From the photos in the gallery it looks like one would be blocked by the video card. I ask because I have both an Audigy 2 and a TV tuner card I want to use. If I had to run the onboard sound how bad is it? I want the overclocking ability of this board but I'm tempted to get the Fonconn for the extra pci slot. Any input or tips to use both pci slots with a 7800 would be appreciated.

Get a single slot 7800GT. Most are.

Foxconn is good for 275fsb. If that is enough to satisfy you and you can live without a Silencer or other dual slot card go for it. I'm still weighing whether I stick with the stock cooler on the X1800XL (not terrible at idle) and go back to the Biostar and a probably 3GHz overclock on this Opty 146 or settle for 2750 on the Foxconn and a Silencer. Foxconn is probably the better option for gaming and noise, but I hate compromising on performance.

I appreciate the info. I do plan to get a single slot 7800 but the pci slots look so tight I'm concerned about cooling issues even if I could fit a sound card in that first slot. Did you ever use the onboard sound on yours?

im using the onboard in the I/O and it's fine. everything sounds good. I stick in a bfg 6600gt PCI-E and it's fine as far as room size goes. idk how big the 7800gt fan is but it should be fine.
